About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your emotions or struggling to make sense of your thoughts? Maybe, it is that you are feeling sad, anxious, depressed, insecure or have been experiencing negative thought/behavioural patterns or  low moods.

Perhaps you are faced with problems within your personal relationships or are troubled over past relationships/experiences? Alternatively it could be that you simply wish to make some positive changes within your life change your outlook or need to make sense of a situation.

Whatever the reason for your visit, counselling can help.

Together, in a safe comfortable, confidential environment, we can explore your needs, understand any issues you are finding difficult with the view to develop coping strategies and life skills to overcome them.

Within my busy practice accessibly situated on the Antrim Road, Glengormley, I offer bespoke private counselling and therapy, tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. I implore an approach that compliments each persons personality as well as meeting their individual therapeutic needs; aspiring to tailor the therapy to each client, rather than the client to the therapy.

A little bit about me.  My name is Ashleigh, I have 10+ experience in counselling, wellbeing and holistic practices.  I am an integrated Counsellor incorporating all of the main counselling approaches to my therapy, such as; Person Centred Counselling, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Approach; In combining these theories along with my own signature framework; I aim to facilitate healing on all levels.

I work with most issues; common examples being: anxiety, generalised anxiety, relationship issues, depression, feeling sad, panic, family issues, affairs, betrayal, boundary setting, separation and divorce, addiction, childhood related issues, low self esteem, alcoholism, bereavement, emotional abuse, low self-confidence, anger management, sexual abuse, behaviour patterns/problems, trauma, work related stress, career dilemmas, infertility, spirituality.

I promise to support you in any way I can which usually comes in the form of one on one counselling however this can be adjusted should your needs require so.   Within the practice I have a team of associate therapists therefore if I cannot coordinate a session to suit, I am happy to assist an alternative.

**Both short and long term therapy available. Enquiries are answered during business hours. Please check your spam folder for replies.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
