About me
I am a counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP), with experience in helping clients explore and overcome difficulties relating to stress, anxiety and depression; relationships and family conflict; pregnancy fertility and parenting; grief and loss; motivation, self-esteem and confidence; career challenges; processing past experiences; and personal growth and development. I work as an integrative counsellor, which means that I blend and adapt different counselling approaches and techniques based on each person's unique needs. This may include providing time and space to process significant events in your life; it might involve exploring your past in order to understand yourself better in the present; or it may include new tools and strategies for managing mental and emotional health. I will work with you to set goals for your counselling to make sure that you are really getting the most out of our time together.
An important part of an effective counselling experience is the relationship between counsellor and client. I create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment, guided by an absolute respect for each person's unique value and autonomy over our own lives. I offer integrity, honesty, warmth and a deep and genuine interest in the growth and development of every person with whom I work.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
If you would like to work with me, please send me an email, text or Whatsapp message and I will come back to you as soon as possible. Please include as much or as little information in your initial enquiry as you wish. I am happy to schedule a free 15-minute phone call if you would like to talk to me before our first meeting, whether to explore whether counselling is right for you at this time, to answer any specific questions or simply get a feel for whether you would like to work with me.
During our first session, I will undertake an initial assessment. You will be able to give me more detail about yourself and about the areas of your life that you would like help with, and I will ask some additional questions to help me get to know you a little better and make sure that I have the right skills and experience to help you. This meeting will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have, as well as meet me and decide whether you would like to work with me. After that we will identify your counselling goals and come up with a plan to achieve these.
There is no set number of sessions that we will have together - sometimes only a few sessions are needed, and in other cases we may work together for longer. We will review our work periodically to ensure that we are focusing on the areas which are most important to you and to help you get the most out of our time together. Counselling is intended to be flexible - if, during our work together, your focus or priorities change, then we will discuss this and change the focus of our work as appropriate.
