Aron Kirk - Peak Therapy Home Visit Counselling
Hello. My name is Aron and I am a Fully Qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist providing a safe and confidential Home Visiting Service for people covering most parts of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire areas. My practice is called Peak Therapy Home Visit Counselling.
How my Home Visit Counselling service could help you:
My Home Visiting service is for those who may be unable to venture out for counselling. People may require Home Counselling for many different reasons such as being unable to get out due to a disability or a frailty of some kind.
Illness or social phobias can be other contributing factors where Home Counselling may be beneficial. Whatever your reason may be, if home counselling is something that may be of benefit to your well-being, then my Home Visit Counselling Service could be for you.
Having your home counselling experience with me will help provide you with the conditions you need to explore your emotions, thoughts and experiences that may be connected to any issues you feel need exploring. Working with me over time will allow you to begin to make better sense of your issues and your , no matter how small or how overwhelming they may feel.
I am a very understanding and patient therapist, and you can talk with me in complete confidence. Maybe you are feeling stuck or lost and not sure how to cope with a particular issue? Perhaps you are feeling particularly down at the moment, maybe experiencing relationship issues or problems.
Maybe you are suffering the effects of bereavement or feelings of anger, anxiety or low self-esteem. Perhaps your feeling vulnerable or generally unhappy and don’t really know why? Whatever your issues or worries may be, past or present, we can work together and begin to take positive steps towards a better understanding of yourself and a brighter future for you.
As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe that all people have within them an ability to grow and develop in their own way, and at their own pace. This is often referred to in counselling as ‘The Actualising Tendency’.
What this means is that given the right support in a caring, empathic and nurturing environment, a person can be encouraged to explore their own ability to move forward or become more able to cope with those troubling elements that may be holding them back.
I truly believe that people have within them the power to grow and develop, and to resolve the issues that they face. I feel that my role is to help to empower and facilitate that change and development, allowing them to explore at their own pace without judgement
Having your counselling experience with me will provide you with the conditions you need to explore your emotions, issues, thoughts and experiences in safety and will allow you to begin to make better sense of them, no matter how small or how overwhelming they may feel.
What will happen at the initial Consultation session?
I offer a reduced price (£20) initial Consultation session of around 45 minutes to an hour. This will give you the chance to meet me at your home and see how you feel about taking the next step into counselling. Counselling can be quite a step for some people, and I want you to feel as relaxed as possible.
We will usually have a chat together, and you may want to tell me why you are seeking counselling and perhaps ask me any questions that may be of concern to you. I will also gather some information about you and what is happening for you.
This initial meeting can help enable you to make a decision about whether to begin counselling and will also provide an opportunity to discover if you feel comfortable working with me. I am very amiable and friendly and our relationship as client and counsellor is important that things feel just right for you in order to proceed.
