About me

If you are looking for help, you might be feeling stuck, unable to move forward ... you might even have a sense of helplessness and/or hopelessness and wondering what happened that has made you hit this point. Life crisis are points in life where difficult decisions need to be made and if you are reading this, I gather that you made the decision that something needs changing in your life to enable you to cope better and to feel more fulfilled. I do not know you but I can reassure that is ok to feel like that and praise you for making the decision to reach out for support to make these changes. Self-awareness is a step forward to do things differently, like acknowledging that you need help and reaching out: well done as you are one step closer to start your journey towards change.

Going through Counselling or Psychotherapy could be life transforming but is also hard work and requires commitment and that is why is so important that you find the right therapist for you as well as the right way of working. I qualified as an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist (2011), which means that I use different ways of working to adapt to your needs. I have a wide range of tools to support your self-development and in a collaborative way, I will discuss and suggest different tasks that will help you to make the changes you want/need to move forward. Therapy is not only about “talking about the problems”, that is only a small part of it, but mostly about developing your self-awareness, strengths, coping skills and above all ... helping you to engage with life.

I have worked with a wide range of issues over the years and found my niche working with trauma, which I specialised in. How long therapy would be for would depend on what you want to work on and that is why I offer both Counselling and Psychotherapy depending how deep/complex your issues are. I also like to see therapy as part of a self-development journey and we can dip in and out of it to put into practice what we have learned so I continuously review our work together to make sure that continues to fit your needs but also that ends when is right for you. My aim is to support you to feel confident enough to end therapy and continue your journey on your own and I will do all in my power to facilitate that.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.


British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I specialise in working with Trauma, including Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) & Complex PTSD, offering Narrative Exposure Therapy, REWIND therapy, Prolongue Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Image Rescripting and Reprocessing Therapy, which enables post-traumatic growth.

Fee: £50 per session (50 minutes) pay in advance by bank transfer.

Some concessions available - please ask.

£30 for 90 minutes session for an individual  who had experience trauma type I (Type 1 Trauma refers to single-incident traumas which are unexpected and come out of the blue. They can be referred to as big T trauma, shock or acute trauma. A condition related to big T trauma or Type 1 trauma is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.) as I need to write a case study for my course (please be aware this doesn’t affect the confidentiality of the work we will do together).
