Hello my name is Tony and I am a qualified Person Centred and CBT Counselling Therapist Counsellor practicing in Liverpool.
I am a registered member of BACP and I provide a professional and confidential counselling service.
The counselling can be short term (around 6 sessions) or longer, this is entirely dependent on the needs of the client.
My aim is to create an environment which is non-judgmental where people feel heard and understood. I offer core conditions necessary for healing of real respect, empathy honesty. The counselling environment is where we can explore difficult feelings and encourage a deeper personal insight into issues that may present themselves. The counselling experience can help you find a greater understanding of your thoughts and feelings and help you in finding resolutions in your life which can enhance your personal wellbeing.
As a counsellor I have a successful track record of developing trusting, therapeutic relationships helping clients to focus on thoughts and feelings that are often painful and limiting. The counselling experience has helped clients to develop new ways of looking at the world around them.
I have over 20 years experience of listening to and supporting adults and young people presenting a wide range of issues in communities across Merseyside as a community worker. As a counsellor I have supported people with a broad range of issues within my practice including anxiety, abuse, addictions, anger management, depression, eating disorders, gambling, generalised anxiety disorder , health related issues, identity, personal development, redundancy, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, sexual identity, sexuality, and stress amongst others. I also have significant experience of working with people with bereavement and loss issues with Liverpool Bereavement Service. Through out the course of my work I am able to utilise Emotional Freedom Training and Mindfulness techniques to aid personal well-being with clients.
For the past 7 years I have been supporting clients on behavioral change programmes as part of a Health Improvement Team on Merseyside.
If you would like to contact me for further information please feel free to call me on 07847951052 or email me on firstname.lastname@example.org and I will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.
I look forward to hearing from you Tony.
