About me
I am a fully qualified and accredited integrative psychotherapist and counsellor offering short and long term therapy for a variety of psychological and emotional problems. I offer a safe confidential and completely non judgemental environment for you to address and resolve the issues that you have been struggling with.
My vocation is helping people regain control of their emotions and their lives, and a good counselling relationship is built on trust and confidentiality, honesty and acceptance. Working with your own individual needs and strengths I can help you remove and resolve your unwanted feelings or behaviours.
I have extensive experience in treating a wide range of issues such as Addictions, Alcohol/Substance abuse, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Sexual issues, Low self esteem, Anger management and more.
My approach and how can I help?
Being “integrative” quite simply means I am trained and qualified in various different forms of counselling and psychotherapy and do not rely on a rigid one size fits all approach to therapy. In my experience, what works with one client for a particular issue may not work with another, so being able to draw on my varied training and qualifications, I am able to tailor each treatment to the specific client and their own particular issue.
I am aware that no two people are alike, everyone has their own experiences and ways of understanding and seeing the world. You will be able to talk about your problems and feelings in a confidential and dependable safe environment. I am here to listen with empathy, and my aim is to help you to deal with any negative thoughts and feelings.
What to expect from counselling?
Counselling can best be described as a process whereby the counsellor and the client set aside time in order to explore difficulties which may include stressful or emotional feelings for the client. Counselling helps the client see things more clearly or perhaps from a different view-point. This can enable the client to focus on feelings, experiences or behaviours and work toward a positive change.
Counselling is not giving advice, does not offer any judgement, does not attempt to sort the problems of the client. Counselling is a safe confidential environment in which to explore feelings and emotions. I believe that self-acceptance is paramount to good mental health and counselling can help immensely in this area.
Where can you see me?
I cover Essex and London areas. My practice is easily accessible from the City or Canary Wharf, as it is located in South Woodford, just 100 metres from South Woodford station on the Central Line. I also practice in the Woodford, Chingford, Chigwell, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Epping and surrounding areas. I can provide home visits in certain cases.
