About me

My name is Anne. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for people who wish to deepen their understanding and awareness of themselves, to find support in a time of distress, or to address a particular issue.

Taking the first step to seek therapy can feel daunting and scary. Yet, most of us have experienced a time when we have needed help or longed to be truly heard and understood. My aim is that you feel your thoughts and feeling are acknowledged and valued, without judgement.

I tailor my work to your specific needs and work with each person in a unique and individual way, at a pace that suits them. You will be heard in confidence, without judgement and with your needs at the heart of our time together. Trust and our relationship are key, and I aim to create a calm and nurturing atmosphere for you explore your issues.

I have worked in a number of counselling settings including a local domestic abuse charity and hospice providing pre and post bereavement support. Along side this I also work in two local secondary schools counselling young people from Y7-Y13.

I also offer the service of working with my therapy dog Loulou who can offer an additional calming and relaxed element to your session.

Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. Further information

Making the step to seek therapy can feel daunting and scary. Yet most of us have encountered times when we have needed help or have longed to be truly heard and understood.

If you’ve never experienced therapy before, it can be difficult to believe that ‘just talking’ to someone can be helpful. I believe that the strength of the relationship between the two people involved in therapy is the reason why ‘just talking’ can make such a profound change to your life.

Everyone needs a little help from time to time. I was no different and began my own journey to becoming counselling through having experienced the benefits of expert counselling myself.

As a result, my approach to counselling is based on a deep understanding of the value that counselling can bring.
