About me

I have over 12 years of experience working as a person-centred therapist.  I work within COSCA Ethical Framework and Code of Practice. As part of my commitment to good practice, I undertake regular continuous professional development (CPD) and have monthly clinical supervision.

When working with clients I make every effort to provide a safe space where each individual will feel heard and understood.  I do not give advice.  I do try to facilitate a process and build a therapeutic relationship with each person.  In this way, I hope that they will feel able to find a way through whatever is getting in the way of allowing them to live their life more fully in the present.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed my training at Moray College, Elgin.  I have an advanced Diploma in Counselling from Counselling Training Initiaves (CTI).

I am an Accredited Member of Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA) and appear on the COSCA Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists - Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

As well as working as a private practitioner, I provide counselling for CLAN Cancer Support.  I work also as a volunteer for The Oaks which is palliative care day centre.

I provide clinical supervision to other counsellors

I am also an Accredited Trainer (Diploma Level) with COSCA.
