About me

Who am I?

I am a fully qualified counsellor and member of the BACP (MBACP).

I'm a Person Centered therapist, and I'm warm and caring, I believe in demonstrating empathy, understanding, genuineness and congruence throughout my work as a therapist. I believe in creating a safe, secure and confidential environment which allows my clients to explore their innermost thoughts, and emotions.

I am completely non-judgemental, a quality that is essential in developing a trusting relationship with all of my clients, Through the quality of the relationships I develop, I'm able to  encourage inner healing and client autonomy.

Who can I help?

I  recognise that many people have carried emotional issues resulting from early childhood trauma, resulting from emotional or physical abuse, family historical issues (parental or family relationship issues), with this type of emotional trauma often leading to depression, anxiety and relationship issues later on in life.

I am an experienced counsellor and have dealt with many issues involving marital difficulties, I recognise that relationships sometimes need the support of a counsellor who can mediate and help support couples who want to stay together, therefore I can offer couples counselling.

It's not just marital relationships that break down, family relationships and working relationships come under strain and many people experience employment stress and bullying issues, general anxiety and stress issues, suicidal thoughts and intrusive thought patterns. I have been fortunate to help and support many clients who have suffered these relationship issues.

I have worked with clients suffering from bereavement, depression, loss, loneliness, isolation, and clients who have experienced a sense of abandonment.

I have supported many people who suffer with mental health issues such as personality disorders, OCD, mood disorders ( such as bi-polar),eating disorders, and body image disorders, trauma disorders ( such as post traumatic stress) alcoholism and anger management issues.

I have counselled many women suffering from Post Natal Depression and difficulties associated with childbirth, including bonding issues and relationship issues following the birth of their new baby.

I believe in working with Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit, if clients wish to explore their spirituality... their spiritual thoughts and emotions, then, I am more than happy to help them with faith based counselling. I offer confidential support to enable clients to make sense of their life's journey and raise their own self awareness to enable them to move forward with confidence.

I believe in working very deeply with all of my clients, ensuring that they are able to safely share their innermost feelings in a comfortable secure environment.

My aim is to develop a sense of connection with my clients through my work, which allows me to work diligently to empower them, therefore enabling them to  understand their emotional experience, and ultimately, to focus more positively on moving forward.
