About me

I am a counsellor, based in Cambridge, providing therapy online to adults and young people struggling with overwhelming feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem and, as a member of the LGBTQI+ community, I am LGBTQI+ affirmative.

I have experienced anxiety, overwhelm, and panic attacks in the past. With the help of good therapy, I was able to understand and reduce my anxiety, and to work on building my self-esteem, so that I could enjoy life, make good choices and to finally accept myself.

Experiencing that change is why I retrained as a therapist and it's why I'm passionate about helping others who, like you, feel anxious and overwhelmed and who feel they have low self-esteem, and I know you want things to change, to feel easier in yourself and to be able to have good and healthy relationships.

Through counselling, I can help you to understand your feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, to understand and ease how it shows up for you in your life, to help you feel empowered and to enable you to feel happier within yourself, and finally begin to enjoy the good and healthy relationships you want and deserve.

Prior to retraining as a therapist, I worked with young people with severe and complex learning difficulties, and I have also run youth groups, so I feel lucky to be able to continue working with young people as part of my therapy practice.

Working with young people often means working on issues around anxiety, particularly around issues relating to school.  I provide a therapeutic space for your teen to talk about anything they need to, and to help them understand their feelings better, so they can learn to manage their stress and anxiety and to feel happier in themselves and in their relationships.

My work is centred around respect and care for my clients as they go through the process of change and my approach is warm and interactive, empathic and holistic, and I believe in providing therapy that is non-judgmental and client centred.  I am open to working with you on anything you want to bring.
I know that it takes courage to seek help and support and, if you are ready to take that step with me, I am here to support you and to empower you to calm the overwhelm and the anxiety, to feel better in yourself, and to finally find ease in your relationships with others.

You deserve to feel okay. Email me today to book in for your first session with me and start making the changes you want

Additional information

My therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and my current fees are £70 per session, unless you 20 or under, in which case my fees are £55.

Sometimes clients want to book in longer sessions from time to time, perhaps to focus on something in particular, and these sessions are charged a pro rata fee of £105 for a 75 minute session.

I also offer Single Session Therapy and the sessions are 110 minutes long at a pro rata fee of £140.  These sessions are useful for those that don't feel they want to have ongoing therapy but who want to focus on something in particular, or for those that have previously had therapy, with me or another therapist, and do not want to enter into further ongoing therapy but feel they would like to check in and focus on something that is troubling them at the moment.

I ask that payment is made prior to each appointment and my cancellation policy is 48 hours before the full fee will be due.

I set my fees at a rate which allows me to limit my practice numbers in order that I can provide high quality therapy with good up-to-date professional development and training.

I understand that most people are not in a position to budget for therapy at this rate. There are a great number of excellent therapists with different fee structures and I am always happy to provide recommendations.
