About me

If you are feelilng overwhelmed or are struggling to come to terms with something or someone in your life, and now is the right time for you to look for help, give me a call or email me - maybe I can help.  There may be loss or change in your life, or perhaps you feel stuck in some way, unable to achieve what you want - and you are aware that you are holding yourself back. You may be carrying a burden from events and people in the past and present.

In our first session we will explore the issues that have brought you to counselling and the feelings you are experiencing.  We will work towards understanding these feelings and experiences and introduce coping strategies to help you move towards more positive ways to manage negative behaviour and feelings.

I tend to often work with issues such as anger, self esteem, relationship problems, abusive relationships, anxiety and depression, bereavement and feelings of loss, personality disorders and low self confidence and I use different approaches to suit the individual needs of my clients.

As well as working as a counsellor and psychotherapist I use hypnotherapy with issues such as weight, stress and anxiety and stop smoking and exam nerves.

Further information

I am from London originally, and have lived in Northamptonshire for nearly 30 years. I have always used counselling skills in my work which has included working with children with learning and emotional difficulties in schools in Northampton. I have also worked with adults with learning disabilities for twenty years, enabling people to work towards their individual goals, and sometimes helping them come to terms with what they can realistically achieve. In 2009 I graduated with a 2.1 from Northampton University in Sociology with History.  When all the studying ended I decided to take a diploma in counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy and have worked using these skills ever since.

In August 2015 I moved down to Worth, near Sandwich. I continue to work as a volunteer with adults with learning disabilities and am spending all my available time designing and working on my new garden, and my new project - the allotment.
