About me

Hello, welcome. I am Annabelle. I'm trained in integrative counselling which can help with all sorts of life's challenges. On the subject of life, it isn't always plain sailing, right? We can find ourselves in a negative place, facing some real bumps in the road and unsure of our next step, or how to feel better.

Or sometimes life-changing events happen. Things are jogging on nicely, and then something big happens - a bereavement, a job loss or break up. Suddenly what we know is turned upon its head, life as we know it is changed and we are affected by it in ways we never experienced before. This can be difficult to handle. Managing feelings, and the intensity of those feelings, can be overwhelming, and we might not know how to do this on our own. Finding out who we are in these times, is a whole new undertaking.

And sometimes, nothing major has happened but we can be bogged down with unhelpful, perhaps painful, ongoing thoughts about ourselves that we’d rather not be thinking. Or experiences from the past keep knocking, the memories of which affect our life in the present.

Having another person to speak with who isn't a friend, colleague or relative, can really help. The therapy room is a safe place for you to talk and process. Therapy can help you get back on track and function again, as a parent, at work, with colleagues, and socially. Therapy can be tough, but with commitment, it can really pay off.

Whatever your reason, the fact you’re here and reading this is the first step. Is there anything you’ve read that resonates? Or perhaps there’s something else? Either way, if you would like to arrange a session to talk, please feel free to contact me. Just send me an email if you like and let me know what your struggles are. Whatever feels right for you.

How I work

I believe that it takes more than one counselling approach to help and support the variety of issues people experience. Therefore I have trained in three main counselling approaches - Gestalt, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This enables me to help clients with a range of difficulties.

I offer a caring and holistic approach, considering mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. By integrating different methods, I can tailor the therapy to fit your unique needs, personality, and issues.
