About me

I have over 20 years of experience as a counsellor and psycho sexual therapist.

I work with individuals, couples, and families.

I am Relate trained and currently work for Kent County Council in addition to my private practise.

I work from home and I can offer flexible hours by mutual agreement.

Counselling helps individuals and couples safely to clarify issues that are hindering their development and relationships. It offers support to those dealing with confused and unhappy feelings. It helps people to be realistic about the choices they have.

Couple counselling is about enabling couples to relate to each other in a more effective way while developing a greater understanding of the causes of their current problems and issues. It aims to facilitate better communication both physically and emotionally. Couples may be seen separately and/or together. They may be divorced or separated. They may have difficulties sustaining or finding a relationship.

Individual personal counselling is about enabling individuals to look at and cope with problems that may be hindering any aspects of their life and personal development.

Family counselling helps families communicate more effectively. I can help family members to have the confidence to be themselves, and also become more aware of others needs within the family system. This can be particularly helpful with reconstituted step families.

Psycho Sexual Therapy helps with physical, sexual, and emotional communication. It can help with specific sexual dysfunctions such as anorgasmia, premature or retarded ejaculation, erectile problems, vaginismus, painful sex as well as loss of desire. It can help couples or individuals understand their own and their partner’s needs. It can enhance confidence, thereby diminishing performance anxiety. It can clarify previous ‘misunderstandings‘ and ‘myths’ about sexuality.
