About me

I believe that the sharing of feelings with friends or close ones make us feel better and happier, but some feelings might be too overwhelming and daunting both for you and for others to be shared. Do not let such scary feelings and thoughts take over your life. I can offer you a non-judgemental and confidential space where you can engage in the therapeutic process of self-discovery, self-understanding and self-acceptance.
I am a psychodynamic counsellor and psychotherapist and my work focuses on the hidden processes of the client’s psyche. During the course of therapy, when you are ready, I will begin to make empathic interventions - bringing these unconscious dynamics to your awareness. I will support you all the way through your journey, so you will get a better understanding of self and take control of your own feelings and, consequently, over your own life.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my face-to-face practice, I am qualified to work with clients remotely. I have had two years experience of working with clients online, a method which has been proven as an effective way to conduct therapy sessions.

As well as my private practice, I have worked both in the care providing and charitable organisations with trauma of abuse and PTSD in a short-term capacity.

I am a full member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethics and professional conduct.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
