About me
Hi, I'm Anna.
I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist with a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy, gained from The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute. I have over 9 years of experience of working with adults, on a broad range of issues and concerns. Weekly sessions can be either short term (6 sessions) or long term basis (more than 12 sessions) and open ended depending on individual need. My private practice is based in Staffordshire - I am easily accessible from Stoke-on-Trent, Leek, Cheshire & Staffordshire Moorlands. I continue to offer online and telephone counselling as well as in person support.
I'd love to hear your story. I work with individuals to try to make sense of and understand why you might feel and experience things in a certain way. In doing this, I aim to provide each client with the opportunity to learn more about themselves. I am particularly interested in how unresolved issues from the past can have an impact in the present, and work collaboratively with each client to explore and resolve these issues.
There are times in life when most of us experience a range of emotions including anxiety and low mood. This might be due to difficult circumstances, challenging relationships or as a result of complex inner processes. It can often help to talk through and share these experiences.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
