About me
You may be looking for a therapist because you don’t know what to do. You have thoughts swirling in your head and are beset with uncertainty. Perhaps you feel uncomfortable with relationships at work, or in your personal life. Are you feeling uneasy about how your life is turning out? Has there been a big disruption in your life so you feel bewildered?
I can help you find peace of mind and more self confidence. I am an experienced helper, having worked supporting people all my adult life. My psychotherapy work is alongside my work in an NHS mental health team. I am interested in supporting you move toward a more content life.
I trained as an integrative psychotherapist, which means I incorporate diverse ways of helping you according to your needs. I blend a psychodynamic understanding of how we are relating with a with a person-centred understanding of how I need to respond to your unique story. Together we will think about how the past may be influencing the present, and I will offer you an individualised, warm, and relationship-based response.
In our work together, my clients have said they have felt cared for, understood and better able to manage personal boundaries. They have developed greater insight into what makes them happy, been able to manage their losses and felt more hopeful. This has helped them to feel able to strive for their place in the world.
Counselling is expensive, but more effective if you can make a commitment to the work. If you are looking for time limited counselling (minimum 12 weeks) I can offer a discount on advance payment. If you are looking for long term psychotherapy or open ended psychotherapy we could meet every fortnight if this is better for you.
If you are thinking we may be a good fit to work together, please drop me an email so we can have a free initial consultation

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
