About me

I am a BACP accredited counsellor who currently works within the emergency services supporting staff and alongside I run a small private counselling practice.

From time to time we can all experience difficulties and be unsure about the way forward.  I offer a professional; confidential service in a discreet, supportive and caring environment.

The starting point is to meet me for an initial assessment which will help you decide if you would feel comfortable talking to me and will enable me to discuss how I can help you.

Short term and long term sessions are available subject to clinical need.

My service is offered in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework.

Previously, I worked in London in a public relations consultancy.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Fees

Assessments £25 and sessions £50 per 50 minute session.

I prefer to book 2 assessment sessions initially as this gives us a chance to meet properly and explore the situation to a greater depth. This also enables you to consider if I am a counsellor you feel comfortable working with.

Concessions available to student therapists.

A therapy plan is agreed with you in advance so you know what you are committing to.
