About me

I offer clients a friendly, warm space to discuss anything and everything. I work as a specialist CBT therapist.

CBT, which is an evidence based and results driven approach, has been proven time and time again to provide excellent outcomes and to really make a difference to every aspect of our lives.

I work alongside my clients to identify unhealthy emotions as well as to embed positive belief changes which will enable the client to acknowledge what they want, change what they can change and accept what they can’t change. I also use mindfulness, Cognitive Therapy, compassion focused therapy as well as addressing the inner child where indicated.

CBT is not just surface level and we will look at and identify whatever philosophical change is needed in order to make a sustained difference.

I have worked with clients from a range of different backgrounds and cultures. Across issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, PTSD, insomnia and eating disorders. I currently see clients in person in Battersea as well as via zoom and telephone. I work privately for the Priory.

  • I have over 5 years of training.
  • I have a degree in counselling and psychotherapy from Regents University. I also have 3 advanced diplomas in integrative Cbt.
  • I also regularly attend continual professional development. In addition, I run and host group seminars.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
