About us
Firstly, a well done for taking the courageous step of seeking support. Whether you've been experiencing feelings of anxiety, low mood, loneliness, isolation, or simply recognize the need for assistance with something causing you pain, please know that you are not alone.
At Honeysett counselling the ultimate aim is to provide help and support tailored to your needs. The team is deeply passionate about guiding individuals toward overcoming difficulties and realizing their full potential. Regardless of the challenges you're facing today, there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
The process of starting counseling is made as simple as possible. Following the initial point of contact, an assessment will be arranged. This assessment allows for a personal meeting to discuss your needs and goals for counseling openly and honestly.
Following the assessment, there is no obligation to continue with counselling. However, should you choose to proceed, regular weekly sessions will be scheduled with a counsellor allocated to you. After six weeks, a review will be conducted to assess progress and determine the best way forward together.
Honeysett Counselling operates out of a well-established clinic in Ashford, Kent, which offers disabled access, free parking, restroom facilities, and a comfortable waiting area. Additionally, a reduced rate is offered for student counselors who are in training to become counselors or psychotherapists.
Furthermore, there are currently several openings for lower-cost therapy sessions with the final year students, Sam and Mark who are available for both in-person and online sessions.
The well-being of clients is always the top priority, and the team is here to support every step of the way. If there are any questions or if you'd like to schedule an assessment, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Working with children as they intuitively explore and engage with the world around them, just starting out in their journey of life, has taught me a lot about patience and what it means to truly listen and understand.
I have learned a lot from the wealth of experience and wisdom shared by older generations, who have negotiated much of life's ups and downs, emphasizing the value of empathy, compassion and authenticity.
As someone who is in the middle stages of this journey of life, I understand what it feels like to be lost and uncertain about the path forward, with no clear direction. I’m here to use my own experiences to support others through this journey, walking alongside them until the path becomes clearer.
Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
