About me
Hello!
My name is Anna, I’m a Humanistic Gestalt Counsellor and I work in Central Cambridge.
Approaching therapy or counselling, whether for the first time or not, can seem like a daunting prospect: I have put a few details here so you have an opportunity to get to know me a little bit, and have a look at the services that I can offer.
You can also find more about me at www.annahalls.co.uk
Gestalt counselling focuses on raising your awareness of how you are feeling, what choices you are making and how you are coping with life. I work in a relaxed and fairly informal way and often use creative materials in my work.
Whatever your situation, if you have taken the step to seek some help and find someone to talk to, then well done. This could be the first step to feeling better.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having been a youth worker for over 10 years I have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults both in schools and colleges and at a variety of youth work settings. I’ve seen first-hand how prevalent and widespread mental health issues are.

Further information
Counselling sessions last for 50 minutes and are usually at a set time each week. The usual arrangement is to meet weekly, for either a stated limited period, or an open-ended length of time.
I offer both short term work (6 sessions) and open-ended work, so you can decide what suits you best. If you are not sure, then we can talk this through when we meet and arrangement something together.
I work from a city centre location in CB4, just off Chesterton Road in north Cambridge. When we arrange our first session I will send you a detailed map of where I am, along with parking info (for cars and bikes) and I will make sure you know where to come and what to expect.
The location is discreet and quiet.
