About me
Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, sad or worried? Maybe you’re struggling to juggle the many demands of life and feel like everything is getting to you. Taking the first step to getting help is a brave one and often the hardest. Together we will find a way to help you get your life back on track.
Hi, my name is Anna, I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in mental health. I provide online therapy on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to learn a little more about you and your current situation. I work with a range of difficulties, and in particular have experience of helping people who have struggled with; stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, pain, panic attacks, and low self-esteem.
I work collaboratively and use a range of techniques including, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Narrative Therapy. Therapy is a completely unique process for everyone, and that is why I take an integrative approach, drawing on different techniques at different times to support you in the best way I can.
Sometimes the journey we are on does not follow the path we anticipated. It is normal to come up against challenges and experiences which throw us off. Often the hardest part of overcoming these difficulties is reaching out for help. I offer a compassionate and collaborative space to think about the problems you are facing and build a way through them.
Training, qualifications & experience
I studied Psychology at Newcastle University and then went on to study my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London (UCL). Along with this formal education experience, I have worked in various mental health roles across private, charity and NHS sectors. I have worked with clients of all ages, with a wide range of difficulties, and am very happy to discuss my working experience and expertise during our initial consultation.
