About me

I work as a person centred counsellor/psychotherapist and have over ten years experience of working with adults and young people. I appreciate how difficult it can be to take that first step into exploring therapy.  So, whether it is your first time or you have experienced it before I aim to offer a safe, welcoming, non-judgemental space where there is no "right or wrong", creating an arena to express your feelings.  This process may enable you to feel more empowered, improve self-awareness, self esteem and maybe find some peace of mind.

My work to date has led me to have a lot of experience with all age groups and many different issues. I have also worked with many clients in the areas of bereavement and supported young people 16 - 25 with the issues that are affecting them daily i.e. social media and exam stress. Recently I have worked with older adults also on issues such as loneliness and feelings of isolation.

So if you are experiencing feelings such as -anxiety or depression, feeling sad, having work or relationship issues such as separation or divorce, finding it difficult to cope with a bereavement  or just feeling "low" and need help in exploring what it is that is happening for you then therapy may help. If you decide to explore if I am the  counsellor for you I am more than happy to talk further and offer an initial session at a subsidised rate of £40.00.  Please make initial contact by email and then if you wish to speak to me I am happy to call back.

To respect the isolation rules in place at the moment (April 2020) I am able to offer online face to face counselling or telephone - please email me to enquire.

Thank you for taking time to look at my profile and I wish you well in your search.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
