About me

Hi, I'm Anna. I am a calm and down to earth person offering counselling in a peaceful and relaxing location on our farm, with lovely views over the countryside.

Our lives are impacted and influenced by many different things e.g past experiences, health, relationships, work, bereavement and loss, life stages and changes etc. Sometimes this feels ok and manageable but at others, life seems to be a bit more of a struggle. As a counsellor, I will work with you to explore how you are feeling and work out if there are ways you can feel more content and settled.

We can often feel a bit caught between 'being how we think we should be', and 'being what feels true to ourselves'. Counselling can help you work out what is important to you, allowing you to feel more authentic and live a life that feels more comfortable, whilst also acknowledging the challenges we have to live with.

My approach is integrative which means I have a range of skills which allows me to be flexible to hopefully meet the needs of most clients.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience of working with a wide range of adults, young people and their issues. I have a particular wealth of experience working with grief, bereavement and loss; trauma; anxiety; care experienced young people and foster carers.

My background is engineering, farming and teaching so I also have quite a broad experience of other industries.

I regularly attend training around many aspects of Counselling and Psychotherapy. My formal qualifications include:

  • Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (The Academy SPACE Sheffield)
  • PGCE Secondary Education D&T (The Open University)
  • BEng Hons Engineering with Business Studies (Sheffield Hallam University)

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
