About me
You are not alone. Whatever your difficulties may be, there is always a way forward. Therapy may be the right choice for you if you are looking to reduce distress, improve your wellbeing and achieve your goals. Clients who meet with me gain a greater understanding of their difficulties and develop the ability to overcome these.
I offer clients a safe space to explore their difficulties at a pace that feels comfortable yet productive to them. I offer a person-centred approach, which means that you will be given an individualised treatment which is supported by research evidence. Your goals for therapy will be discussed in the first session and we will review these throughout to make sure you are satisfied with the service offered to you.
Your strength, resilience and ability to cope will be held in mind as much as the difficulties you come to seek help for.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a Clinical Psychologist I have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties such as anxiety, panic, depression, PTSD and others. I work with clients whose adverse life circumstances or experience of trauma continue to impact on their current functioning, their self perception or the relationships they have with others. I work collaboratively with those seeking my support and enjoy helping them find the strength to overcome their difficulties.
I draw on various evidence based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative therapy and Mindfulness.
My professional training includes:
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy)
Masters in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology (MSc)
Bachelors in Psychology (BSc (Hons))
