About me

Hi and Thank you for looking at my profile.  I'm Tina and hopefully I can help you. I am a qualified counsellor with over 20 years experience providing professional and confidential therapy.  I am currently specialising in depression for the NHS and I also  have many years experience of working with problem drinkers and their relatives and friends.  I believe that it is the strength of the relationship I form with my clients,  and the provision of a non-judgemental space, which allows them to explore and understand their concerns, to help clients work towards making positive changes to improve their situation.

I am an humanistic integrative therapist which means I have a variety of skills, training and experience to provide me with a "creative toolbox" to help clients as each individual has differing needs which requires a different approach.

The first session is usually worrying for some, it's not easy talking to a complete stranger but hopefully your concerns will fade after a while.  I provide telephone or internet appointments using Zoom, Facetime or Teams.  Each session last about 50 minutes and I work to a 6 week model but also offer longer term therapy if required.  I usually offer weekly appointments but I can be flexible in my approach to suit your needs.

Private practice enables you to access therapy without the long wait.
Please feel to contact me with any questions and I will do my best to help.  Email is the best way to contact me as my mobile signal is poor in the area in which I live but please try to phone or leave a message if you do not have an email address.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
