About me

I hold an MA in Relationship Therapy (Relate Institute), Certificate as a Senior Practitioner in Coaching (Therapist2Coach Limited) and a Certificate as an  NLP Practitioner (NLP School).

My field of expertise is in Relationships. I have worked since 2007 firstly with Relate and now privately with many couples, individuals and families with issues around relationships.

Are you having problems with your relationship?

This could be with issues with lack of  communication, or constant arguments or parenting concerns. Could also be that you have discovered that your partner is having an affair, addicted to porn, drugs or alcohol, or going through depression or an illness. Could be that you are going through a difficult breakup. That you or your partner is having difficulties with anxiety, depression or anger.

Counselling can help you to talk things though in a safe and confidential space.

It will enable you to talk about your issues, to talk openly about things that maybe you haven’t been able to say before. It can be a safe space to explore your relationship more openly, talk about what you want or don’t want, talk about the future of your relationship.

The aim is to find a way for you to be able to move forward and create a healthier, more respectful and supportive relationship.

Counselling can also support you to work out if the relationship you are in is right for you and to find a way to move forward.

It can also help you explore yourself, your life and your relationship, and to work out what you want and need and to enable you to make this become a reality.

Why me?

I am approachable and professional, but also non judgment and impartial.

You will find my approach warm and empathic in order for you to feel comfortable, calm and safe.

My aim is to help you to feel safe enough to talk openly about things that you might find difficult at first.

I will work to your pace and with what you are comfortable with bringing to the session.

Talking about difficult issues can be hard, but this is a process, and hopefully over time, you will feel that things will become easier and lighter to talk about.

i have successfully helped many people struggling with their relationships and hopefully I can help you too.

What can you expect from the sessions?

The sessions are ongoing and are not fixed. I will work with your agenda and tailor the sessions to your needs. I welcome feedback, work transparently and review regularly in order to check if we are going in the right direction.

Training, qualifications & experience

What is my training?

I am a fully qualified, trained Relate counsellor who has worked with couples, individuals and families since 2007. I have an MA in Relationship Therapy. I am also a Senior Practitioner in Coaching with Therapist2Coach and also a NLP Practitioner.

I fully comply with all professional codes of practice and ethics laid down by both BACP and EMCC and am an insured practitioner. I undertake continual professional development and am responsibly supervised. All work will be undertaken with appropriate confidentiality in order to provide a safe environment.

Psychotherapy, Systemic Therapy and Coaching

Humans do not live in isolation, we live as part of a system. We are healthier in relationships, but when they don't work can cause many problems for us.

Our families are a system and that system influences our behaviour, cognition and emotion.

We come into this world with our personalists, but our environment has an impact on this. Our environment can either nurture or hinder our growth, can influence how we think and how we behave with ourselves and with others and how we form relationships.

Through my training and work, I have been able to enable many people to change their lives and relationships for the better. I feel blessed that I have been able to help so many people. If you would like to talk more about your issues and to find out if I could help you too, then please contact me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
