Angie Wong Counselling & Psychotherapy Online and in Central London

About me

Do you often feel not good enough? Are you struggling to cope with anxiety, eating disorder or trauma? I have the experience to help you make sense of what causes the problem so that you can achieve your potential to live a fulfilled life.

I am an integrative transpersonal psychosynthesis practitioner who uses a holistic approach to healing, growth and transformation. Transpersonal counselling incorporates body, mind and spirit in the process.

The model I use draws on the principles of psychodynamics, person-centred approach, cognitive behavioural therapy, gestalt, mindfulness and meditation. Different tools and experiential exercises such as drawing, guided meditation and inner dialogue are used to help you to broaden your awareness about yourself and the world around you, and to get in touch with your inner strengths and wisdom so that you can make a positive change in your life.

Whatever your presenting issues, concerns or goals may be, I would like to reassure you that you will always be accepted and be treated as a unique individual.

My job is to listen thoughtfully and to co-create a space with you for understanding and healing.
I would stay alongside you in the work. Through exploration and reflection together, we make sense of what might be causing the issue and negotiate you towards a greater sense of clarity and the possibility of change.

I have worked extensively in counselling and psychotherapy with adults and young people in NHS and in my private practice through online session or face-to face session in central London. I see clients with different ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious and cultural background and I have experience of working with a wide range of issues

I offer session in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

I grew up in Hong Kong and I finished my higher education in North America. I have lived in 8 different countries in 4 continents. The experience of extensive travelling and living in different places have taught me to be appreciative and acceptive of differences in each individual.

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance and I am committed to ensure that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I have procedures to safeguard and secure the information I collect.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip) awarded by the Psychosynthesis Trust in London and the University of Middlesex, and accredited by both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

I am also an Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) Certified Practitioner.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).

In addition to my private practice, I volunteer in NHS as a Counsellor and I am also a Training Assistant at the Psychosynthesis Trust.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
