About me
My name is Angeline. I am a friendly, warm and approachable person. I am easy to talk to and have a calm nature which I bring to my approach in therapy. My personal life experiences have prepared me for many of the issues that people face when entering counselling.
I believe that everyone has the ability to develop and grow as a person, to cope and come to terms with traumatic experiences, reduce anxiety and improve their mental wellbeing. I would like the opportunity to help you to make those positive changes in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience
My Training
Person-centred, Humanistic and EMDR Psychotherapist. I am trained to work with Couples, adults and young people.
I am a qualified Supervisor trained to level 6 Diploma Level.
In addition to this:
Certificate in Third Wave CBT which includes the following:
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
I completed an additional course in Trauma Focused CBT with the Anna Freud Centre.
As a fully accredited member of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy, I work to their code of ethics. I have an enhanced DBS.

My Experience
I currently work in private practice as a Supervisor and counsellor and psychotherapist with adults, including couples and young people.
I have many years experience in supporting and counselling adults and children who have experienced trauma, anxiety, social anxiety, low mood, depression, relationship breakdown, bereavement, sexual abuse and addiction.
I have gained relevant experience working in a variety of settings; private practice, schools, colleges, community projects such as mental health, ex offenders, woman and children's refuge. Including working alongside children services as a trauma therapist and CAMHS as a drug and alcohol link worker. I have project managed a relationship breakdown service. I previously trained with Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse counselling service.
My experience has also included supervising staff, coaching and management.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
