About me

Finding Strength: Support for Anxiety, Depression, and Neurodiversity.

Feeling overwhelmed? You're not alone. Anxiety and depression are common struggles affecting many people at some point in their lives. Even though they're widespread, getting help can feel difficult.

As a counsellor and someone who has experienced anxiety and depression, I've felt it all: the racing heart, the dark moments, the self-doubt. It can be crippling, isolating us from activities and loved ones. We might build walls of comfort, unknowingly feeding into a cycle of guilt and shame.

But there's hope. I broke free. It wasn't easy, but I fought. Now, combining my lived experience with professional training, I empower others to do the same.

Help is available, even before things feel overwhelming. By recognising our triggers and weaknesses, we can discover our strengths and find ways to manage our emotions. Understanding the "why" isn't always necessary; feeling better is.

I'm here to support you. Whether it's stress, anxiety, relationships, work challenges, life changes, or anything else, I can help you navigate your unique hurdles.

Unlocking Your Potential: Your Neurodivergent Therapist & Trainer

As a fellow neurodivergent individual (diagnosed with ADHD) and a passionate advocate and specialist, I understand the unique strengths and challenges that come with being ND. We can work together to unlock your unique potential and find strategies that work for you, not against you.

My experience working with ND teens, adults, and families in various settings (schools/colleges, support services, and private practice) allows me to tailor my approach to your specific needs. This ensures you get the most out of our work together.

In essence, I create a space of shared understanding, recognising that navigating a world not always built for neurodiversity can be tough. My focus is on inclusive and accessible therapy, tailored to your individual experience.

I'm a registered Practitioner Member of COSCA which is Scotland's professional body for counselling & psychotherapy.  I attend regular supervision and further training to enhance my skills and keep up to date with the latest research in my field and specific areas of interest.
