MBACP Child and Adult Integrative Counsellor

About me

I am a qualified Counsellor specialising in working with children and young adults 11-18 years, I am also experienced with Counselling adults.

I have been working in a secondary school in Hertfordshire offering one to one Counselling and previously in an agency working with vulnerable adults with multiple issues and concerns.

I now offer a confidential, peaceful, safe space at my private practice, a place to be heard, to speak privately, to begin to explore feelings, thoughts, doubts, fears and troubles for example:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Panic attacks
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Self harm
  • Depression
  • Exam stress
  • Family difficulties
  • Separation and divorce
  • Loss, Bereavement, grief
  • Insomnia
  • Low self esteem
  • Lack of confidence
  • Relationship, friendship problems
  • Self image doubts, fears
  • Lack of communication, not being heard
  • Bullying
  • Anger and self control
  • Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD)

Sometimes life can seem confusing, overwhelming and difficult with no answers and can feel like a very lonely place where no one understands. We can feel stuck and do not know which way to turn, our everyday lives and daily routines can be difficult to manage.

Counselling can start to unpick where things have started to go wrong, to unravel our day to day struggles, by beginning to talk in a safe space where you will not be judged, within a safe confidential setting.

With this support it can help to see things more clearly enabling us to come to terms with our experiences and to facilitate change and to work towards an understanding of oneself and others to arrive at a place where there can be acceptance, to achieve a more balanced, healthy, positive outlook in life which is personal and achievable, when the time is right for you.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
