About me

I am working online, by telephone and offering email/text sessions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Genuine connection is a tough task in these weird times, and we can only do our best and that is good enough for now.

Even getting to the stage of looking for a therapist can be difficult so I believe you are already doing something great.

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Mental Health Professional specialising in Sex and Relationships. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling and postgraduate qualifications in Couples Therapy and Integrative Psychosexual Therapy. I am passionate about support and believe that wellbeing is fundamental. My work as a Psychosexual Therapist has highlighted the importance of sensuality, acceptance, self-investment and understanding and I translate that into my commitment to personal and professional development.

I believe support is one of the most important aspects of wellbeing and try to live in a way that supports myself and others. I do not think this is easy, I believe wellbeing is an act of courage and that it takes effort, strength and other people.

In addition to counselling, I offer relationship and psychosexual therapy for couples, individuals and groups e.g. those in polyamourous relationships and family groups. This may involve resolving issues around loss of sexual desire, pain during sex, erectile dysfunction, BDSM, gender specific orgasm disorders, vaginismus, dyspareunia, sexual violence, shame and gender. Please contact me if you wish to discuss this further. I work with all gender, sexual and relationship diversities and am LGBTQI positive. The issues you bring to the room are discussed sensitively and worked through with encouragement, knowledge, and understanding. Any sexually specific tasks will be set as homework and of course never performed during a therapy meeting.

My belief is that it is better to have a conversation in order to find out if I am the right therapist for you so please contact me to arrange a conversation.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
