Angela Jenner Dip. Couns. MBACP ( Registered )
The Abbey Clinic
6A Albert Road
Hello, my name is Angela and I would like to welcome you to Jasmine Counselling.
Life can be a daunting path to tread and when faced with difficult challenges and issues we can all feel overwhelmed, lose sight of who we are and what holds true meaning for us. Whether you are experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Panic Disorder, Bereavement and Loss, Self-esteem, Relationship or Family Issues these can be explored together to help you understand your thoughts and feelings.
I strongly believe that the key to successful counselling is in the relationship that is built and nurtured within the counselling room. I therefore strive to provide a safe, empathic, non-judgemental space where I can bring my skills and life experience to encourage you to explore difficulties that may be impacting on your life.
As I appreciate that every person is unique, I chose to study and become qualified as an Integrative Counsellor. This means I am able to use more than one theory to tailor how I work to specifically meet your needs. I hope that this, combined with a true desire to work alongside you, will enable you to gain clarity and a new perspective on your situation.
I have a particular specialism in supporting people who are coming to terms with a loss in their life. This maybe the loss of a friend or family member, loss of a job, relationship or even your health. Counselling can provide time and space to gain greater insight into your situation. This can enable you to make choices, resolve issues and bring about change or acceptance of experiences you may be finding hard to come to terms with.
I realise that taking the first step to contact me maybe daunting especially if you have never tried counselling before. As trust is central to the counselling relationship it is important for you to feel sure that we can work effectively together.
I am happy to offer an initial 30 minute consultation where we can explore if counselling would be beneficial for you. I endeavour to offer an initial assessment within one week of contact and are currently able to offer both daytime or evening appointments for your convenience. I offer both short or long term therapy dependent on your need, and I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, my practice being fully insured and supervised.
Allow me the opportunity to walk beside you as you take your first steps towards change.
