About me

Seeking counselling can be a courageous and life-changing step. If you are looking for a space where you will feel safe, understood and accepted, we can work together on your journey of self-discovery.

Are you looking for some time to reflect on your life with non-judgemental guidance? Or perhaps you are feeling anxious, stressed or experiencing a low mood? We could look at ways to help you relieve the difficulties that are troubling you and help you gain a deeper understanding and a feeling of self-acceptance.

Whether you are going through a difficult time, a significant life event, or struggling to process something from your past, it can help to talk this through in a safe environment without the fear of being judged.

As an integrative counsellor, I am able to draw on different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. I mainly work from a person-centred perspective, which means that I believe in the individual’s ability to grow and develop in the way that is best for them.

I work either in person in a confidential practice room in Odiham or online via Zoom.

You are welcome to visit my website for further information.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I am a certified online and telephone counsellor. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as Addiction Professionals. As part of my memberships, I commit to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.

My experience as a counsellor includes working for the NHS supporting clients with addiction issues and counselling clients aged 16 and above through a local charity organisation.

In my private practice, I work with a wide range of clients of all ages, helping them to think and feel differently and welcome positive changes to their lives.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
