About me

As human beings, we all face challenges and transitions throughout our life-time, which at times may throw us off balance and make us feel scared or anxious.

Life can be challenging and at times difficulties will arise for all of us regarding; loss, change or endings. We may experience anxiety, depression or have difficulties with self-image, family, or personal relationships. We may experience unresolved issues from our past or experience repetitive patterns in our lives which we want to change. Internally we may feel vulnerable and unclear on how to resolve our issues and move forward.

We may seek support from a professional who is warm, objective, understanding, and non-judgmental, to help us understand and work through what we are experiencing.

I support my clients to understand themselves and their experiences in a meaningful way and help them to arrive at a new place within themselves and their lives.

I believe clients should be supported to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and a deeper self-trust, in order that they live their lives more authentically, from the inside out.

I work collaboratively with my clients, supporting them to face challenges at their own pace, whilst supporting them to feel empowered to make any desired and meaningful changes in their lives.

I am an experienced psychotherapist and have been practicing for over 14 years.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Master's degree in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I work with people from all backgrounds, and a range of areas such as relationships, anxiety and depression, life transitions, self-acceptance and more. I also have experience in using coaching skills in self-development work.

I have specialist expertise in working with children, adolescents and parents, having worked for a variety of organisations, including NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). I am also an experienced clinical supervisor, having supervised clinicians working with children and adolescents.

In addition, I have extensive experience as a senior trainer, having taught Child Counselling at The Place2Be, and Adult Psychotherapy at Regents University College, where I have been a visiting lecturer.

I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and work within the UKCP’s ethical framework for good practice, and are DBS checked.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.
