About me

I am a fully qualified and experienced dramatherapist, working with individuals, couples, families and children. I have worked with many people struggling with anxiety, relationship issues and family issues. My work is informed by Psychoanalysis, Attachment Theory & Continental Philosophy.

Anxiety and relationship issues are often predicated on fear, left unexamined, they can lead to a rigid defence of our 'territory', resulting in unhelpful and compulsive patterns of repetition. In my work, I offer a safe space to explore and express such difficulties and eventually to take a creative step towards the different!

We begin with discussion & reflection, gently exploring what brings you to therapy. Eventually, more spontaneous, embodied and 'dramatic' responses are invited in, as a means of unlocking and expressing what may be behind our conscious worries, words and feelings. It can be a very liberating experience. I take my lead from you, we go at your pace. What unfolds is an enriching, creative and philosophical experience, in which we gain a different perspective on ourselves, our lives and how we are with others.

My work has been informed by Jungian Psychology, Existential Philosophy & Post-Modern writings. Whether you attend as a individual, a couple or a family - sessions are often about making new connections and finding previously unseen pathways within ourselves.

In the first instance send an email or telephone me to discuss your needs in confidence.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and experienced dramatherapist and the Owner & Director of The Drama Therapy Space.

I have an MA in Drama & Movement Therapy, from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, London (2008) and a BA (Hons) in Philosophy & Literature. I am also qualified in Developmental Transformations (a form of therapeutic improvisational play), awarded from The Institute of Developmental Transformations in New York, US (2012)

I work with adults and families in private practice and I also work with schools, charities and local authorities. I offer 1:1 sessions for adults, children and families for issues relating to  anxiety, relationship difficulties, family separation & divorce, sexual and physical abuse, mental-health issues & self-harm

I have also written articles and publications on my work (please see the Resources page of my website) and have given many talks, presentations on my work, at conferences and workshops.

I combine a philosophical and practical approach to my work. I see therapy as an explorative and creative process, which in time, can bring real transformation and growth.
