About me

I am a qualified Counsellor and my aim is to help you gain a perspective about whatever has been troubling you. My approach involves employing an Integrative model of counselling which is fundamentally based around using a person centred core model. This approach allows me the flexibility to apply a variety of different therapeutic interventions in a helpful, collaborative and supportive way which can then be specifically tailored towards my clients unique life experiences and problems that they choose to bring to therapy.

The therapeutic process can help you to achieve a greater sense of understanding and acceptance of yourself, and of the person you want to be. My role is to create a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment, for you the client,to help facilitate this process.

Contemporary research suggests that the therapeutic relationship is arguably the most important aspect in determining a successful outcome in therapy. To ensure that I can offer my clients the best possible service,I regularly engage in continued professional development, alongside monthly supervision and ongoing personal development work.

I hold professional membership with the National Counselling Society with accredited registrant status. The National Counselling Society's register has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under its Accredited Registers programme.
