About me

25 years as a GP and my training in the Human Givens underlie my practical approach to getting your life back on track. If a mental health difficulty is prevening you moving forward in your life, and you don't want prolonged therapy, or spend a long time going over past hurts and experiences in detail, the Human Givens (HG) approach was devised to help you. We address a wide range of mental health problems including

  • Anxiety including Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Panic
  • Depression and Low Mood, Season Affective Disorder
  • Trauma
  • Phobia
  • Anger
  • Addictions and unwanted habits
  • Stress
  • Difficulty Sleeping

In most cases, we can expect to have found a way to significantly improve your situation in 6 sessions or fewer. Sometimes 1 - 2 sessions is all a person needs.

My website describes more about my work, or you can simply contact me now to see we can work together.

You may also benefit from my knowledge in the areas of exercise, diet, the micro-biome (gut health), and the links between physical and mental health where these are relevant to help improve your wellbeing.

Do get in touch by email, providing a brief description of your difficulties and what you are hoping to gain from therapy, and I will get back to you.

Please understand that I cannot provide a new medical diagnosis, medical investigation or prescriptions for medication whilst working as a counsellor/psychotherapist. Sometimes I may recommend you access formal healthcare based on what you tell me.
