About me

I provide an integrative approach to counselling which can be tailored to your needs and goals. My foundation in how I work is a person-centred focus on you the client whilst also using psycho-dynamic aspects as I believe childhood and adolescent experiences have a bearing on our present and I create a non-judgemental, empathic space for you to explore your issues.

I offer an opportunity for us to work together and collaboratively to navigate the waters of your emotions and for you to be able to gather insight, clarity, and healing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have worked with a diverse mixture of client's needs and challenges.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Due to the pandemic I am only seeing client's online via Zoom or Skype at the moment. In future when things finally settle down I have a room for face to face sessions in Kingston and in the Clapham area.

I offer a FREE 30 minute assessment to ascertain what brings you to counselling at this time where we will discuss what you would like to achieve/work through/overcome in our sessions ahead. It is a great opportunity to also see if I am the right fit for what you need at this time in my therapy model approach as ultimately your satisfaction is my primary goal.
