About me

As a qualified and accredited counsellor, I will provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore thoughts, feelings or challenges you may be facing, on your own personal journey.

Difficult life events, relationships and challenging emotions can take their toll on all of us. Listening without judgement and supporting you to explore thoughts, emotions or concerns, is at the heart of what I do. In an atmosphere of trust and empathy, I am committed to working collaboratively with you to find the best way forward.

I will support you to gain a better understanding of what is going on in your unique life journey or perhaps support you to work towards goals.

As an Accredited Member of BACP, I make a regular commitment to ongoing professional development. As an Integrative practitioner, I draw on ideas from different approaches (including Cognitive Behavioural) depending on the needs or preferences of the person who is working with me.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
