I am an experienced qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor, with over 15 years experience. I draw on various approaches (Psychodynamic, CBT and Humanistic) to suit each individual client, with an aim of helping you explore your emotional and mental health concerns.
As a NHS Counsellor and Supervisor, I work with a wide range of issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress, self esteem, bereavement, PTSD/Trauma, childhood trauma, anger management, loss, long term health conditions; sexual abuse, relationship and family issues, cultural concerns, work related issues and spirituality.
My years of experience as a Counsellor include working as a University Counsellor, Bereavement Counsellor at St Christopher's Hospice, London where I co-facilitated a Bereavement Training course. At MIND mental health charity and with RASAC for women who experienced rape and sexual abuse.
I work successfully with Couples, Individuals, Groups and Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's), including BUPA providing counselling for short term and longer term; as well as Supervision for Counsellors.
I offer one to one, open ended and short-term therapy to young people, adults and couples in a supportive, encouraging, confidential and safe environment.
Couples need to be a team and sometimes need a team around them. I, as your Counsellor, am that for you. Whether to improve aspects of your relationship or if you are in the process of separation and/or divorce help in easing this often difficult transition.

I am a qualified Supervisor within the NHS and offer supervision within my private practice to Counsellors and Student Counsellors. I recognise the importance of having a supportive and encouraging relationship in guidance of your own practice.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
