About me

COVID-19 Notice: All sessions are conducted online at present. I will resume face to face sessions when deemed safe as per official policies.

If you feel overwhelmed, stuck by your circumstances or going round in circles as if nothing was ever going to change, then counselling by a professional like me can help you. I provide a confidential and non-judgmental virtual place where you can talk and explore troubling thoughts and emotions.

I am experienced in providing online and face to face therapy to clients that come with a wide range of issues. My office is conveniently placed in East London (E14) serving - SE21, SE24 and E15 and people from other areas mainly working in Canary Wharf and Stratford.

I also have a practice in Surrey, Banstead, serving the SM7, CR5, SM7, KT18, KT19 and KT20 areas amongst others.

I look forward to hear from you. Call  or text me on 07930 62 48 24 or visit my website -  www.canarywharfcounsellingservice.co.uk

Training, qualifications & experience

I have gone through some personal challenges in my life and after benefiting from counselling myself, I decided to use my experiences and training to support others.

Having also worked for 20 years in the financial sector, I find that my background in finance helps me to understand the anxieties and challenges confronted in the work place, as well as the demands it makes at a personal level.

Additionally, my experience as a mental health worker and an Honorary Psychotherapist in the NHS and Multi Ethnic Counselling Services, supports and helps me understand issues at a deeper psychological level.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

First session - What to expect
The initial consultation will help us to explore what has brought you to therapy. It is an opportunity to talk about any concerns you might have about counselling and a chance to ask me any questions you may have. It is also a chance to reflect how you might feel about working with me and for me to see if I am the right counsellor for you.

Frequency and length of sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place at regular times once a week. The length of the therapeutic contract varies and can be established at the initial consultation. I offer short term: 6-8 sessions, mid term: 12 sessions and longer term ones. The length of the counselling can be agreed on after reflecting personal needs, and during the initial consultation we will also have the opportunity to clarify timing for the sessions.
