Are you feeling anxious, stressed and overwhelmed? Struggling with work challenges? Have you been diagnosed with ADHD? Perhaps you are struggling with low self esteem and facing relational difficulties?. Are you experiencing struggles with a narcissistic relationship? Have you been diagnosed with a visual impairment? If you feel stuck and going round in circles as if nothing was ever going to change, then counselling by a professional like me can help you.

As Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I offer tailored therapy services to help you gain insight into your experiences and difficulties. This process creates the time and space to come to choices and solutions that are right for you.

My office is conveniently placed for East London (E14) Canary Wharf and Stratford and I also have a practice in BA12 Warminster.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have gone through some personal challenges in my life and after benefiting from counselling myself, I decided to use my experiences and training to support others.

Having also worked for 20 years in the financial sector, I find that my background in finance helps me to understand the anxieties and challenges confronted in the work place, as well as the demands it makes at a personal level.

Additionally, my experience as a mental health worker and an Honorary Psychotherapist in the NHS and Multi Ethnic Counselling Services, supports and helps me understand issues at a deeper psychological level.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

First session - What to expect
The initial consultation will help us to explore what has brought you to therapy. It is an opportunity to talk about any concerns you might have about counselling and a chance to ask me any questions you may have. It is also a chance to reflect how you might feel about working with me and for me to see if I am the right counsellor for you.

Frequency and length of sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place at regular times once a week. The length of the therapeutic contract varies and can be established at the initial consultation. I offer short term: 6-8 sessions, mid term: 12 sessions and longer term ones. The length of the counselling can be agreed on after reflecting personal needs, and during the initial consultation we will also have the opportunity to clarify timing for the sessions.

Canary Wharf (E14): Wednesdays & Thursdays
