About me

I am a qualified Person-centred Counsellor (MBACP), registered with the BACP.  I provide a private and confidential service, solely through the use of online platforms or telephone communication at the moment.

I understand making the decision to see a therapist can be a daunting first step forward with any difficulties you are experiencing.

Offering you a supportive environment in which you set the agenda. You will be listened to, accepted, and respected, regardless of what issues you bring.  I will not judge you or tell you what to do, but I will support you in any difficulties you are experiencing.

People access counselling for many different reasons, including: Anxiety, Depression, Child hood trauma, Family & relationship ship problems, unwanted thoughts...... to name only a few.  However, not all people that access counselling know why they are feeling the way they do, they just don't feel right. Therapy can help you clarify what is going on and help you feel more settled.

I have been working with adults and young people for a number of years. My counselling approach is a way of supporting and working with the client which is very much based on responding to the clients needs.

I have worked with clients that come to counselling with numerous difficulties, but have an informed understanding and work well with clients that have childhood or past issues, relationship problems with family/partners/friendships etc. Anxiety/Depression, experience low-self esteem, or work/university.  struggles.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
