About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I am an experienced counsellor offering a warm and caring supportive environment, in which to explore your thoughts and feelings. I work with individuals and couples with a broad range of presenting issues.

COVID 19 UPDATE:

In the current circumstances, I am able to offer clients sessions by zoom, watts App or telephone calls. Please feel free to contact me.


I am a professional Counsellor and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My private counselling room in the village of Steeple Claydon is close to Buckingham with easy access from Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Towcester, Bicester,Banbury and surrounding areas.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have passed the certification to qualify to be on the accredited register of the BACP, British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy(www.bacp.co.uk) and adhere to their code of professional ethics.

I hold a Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Counselling and am committed to continuing my learning and undertaking ongoing professional and personal development.

I worked for CRUSE Bereavement Care in Buckinghamshire (www.crusebereavementcare.org.uk).
and am currently working as an affiliate for Counselling Works Ltd in Milton Keynes. (www.counsellingworks.co.uk) as well as running my own private practice.

In 2007 I worked as a counsellor in a school working with young people over the age of 13 through my work with Connexions, Buckinghamshire.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair user access
