To reach out and tell someone our deepest emotions and experiences can be a very brave and difficult step to take. However, to be able to talk about our deepest fears and confront our inner demons can be liberating. Through talking and feeling really listened to we can feel less alone and our thoughts and feelings can be given more clarity.
As you are your own best expert on your wants and needs, I won't judge you or give you advice. I will sit with you and explore options so that you can decide the best way forward for you.
I am also a Pet Bereavement counsellor as I value and appreciate the love, devotion and unconditional love animals bring to our lives. I also never underestimate the emotional distress and acute pain losing a beloved pet may bring.
I have 14 years counselling experience working in private practice and a diversity of counselling organisations.
I am a person centred counsellor using a pluralistic approach which incorporates aspects of other counselling models. This ensures a client is offered a counselling approach which best suits their needs.
I work with short term therapy and long term. Both short and long term are solution focused rather than problem focused. The client decides how long the therapy lasts, this could be one session, several sessions or a session when needed. I am client-led and flexible. We will have continual reviews as therapy progresses.
I work at a reduced rate in my private practice in order to provide more accessibility to counselling.
I offer a confidential service which covers days, evenings and weekends. I work flexibly to accommodate client needs.
