I fully understand the difficulties faced when deciding to seek counselling and the importance of finding the right counsellor for you, which is why I offer the initial consultation free of charge with no obligation to rebook a session if not needed or appropriate.
I have experience of working with all types of issues including phobias, general anxiety disorder, addiction, depression and work with children and teenagers around self harm and eating disorders. I have worked in Special needs as well with severe emotional and behavioural problems along with complex attachment issues. I offer home visits for clients who request the service and I have friendly and comfortable therapy rooms suitable for all.
I believe that any individual has the potential and capability to achieve anything and given the right support and environment they will.
I offer a therapeutic service second to none and work in an Integrative way to enable me to assess and provide the most appropriate counselling in many different circumstances.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been in private practice for a number of years and have worked as a counsellor in a school setting. I am trained in intensive interaction, safeguarding and therapeutic story telling.
I have diplomas in Body language, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy, CBT, play therapy and advanced diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am an accredited member of The National Counselling Society.
I have extensive experience of working with young offenders, all types of addiction, children with learning difficulties, eating disorders, social anxiety, and all types of depression and general anxiety disorders.
Level 3 in children's counselling, level 4 in advanced CBT practice, level 3 in child psychology and level 4 in advanced psychotherapy.

I have studied and practice mindfulness, meditation and relaxation techniques which have proven successful when dealing with terminal and critical illness. These techniques also help with anxiety and depression.

There is limited on site parking, however if you park in the car park opposite Clerkson house off St Peters Way I will reimburse your parking.
I am available on weekdays 7.30am until 8pm, and I have limited weekend appointments.
