About me

Hi my name is a Amanda and I am a experienced Integrative Counsellor who offers both short and long term work to individuals. My aim is to facilitate awareness enabling self growth by offering a safe, accepting and welcoming space for my clients to explore their issues.

Counselling is about helping my clients explore their feelings and emotions with regards to issues affecting them either now or from their past. As a counsellor my role is to act as facilitator enabling my clients to undertake a journey of self discovery. This self discovery allows better understanding of how our experiences affects behaviour and/or present relationships.

Sessions will be confidential and focused on individual needs. The process involves your commitment, your honesty both with yourself and me and a genuine desire to explore. On my part, I have a genuine healing intent and provide commitment, honesty and utmost respect for you as an individual.

If you are travelling by car there is room to park on my drive.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
