About me

My goal is always to provide a friendly, confidential, collaborative and non-judgmental environment, listening carefully to the issues clients bring to therapy and working with them to find a way forward that works well in their lives. We determine together what the desired outcome is and then work on how they might achieve this. In my experience this provides clients with the uniquely tailored support they require and empowers them to make the changes they want in their lives and find a way through the difficulties they are experiencing. I work with clients on whatever they feel is important in their lives. My experience includes working with couples, individual adults, young people, children and families on a broad range of issues. I have extensive experience in working with clients on grief and bereavement, anxiety, anger, depression, work related issues (including career and work relationship problems) marital/relationship issues and parenting.

I work Monday to Friday from early morning to various times. If you would like to find out more about the way I work I would be happy to hear from you, please contact me and I will do my best to answer any queries you may have.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
