About me
Hi, I am an accredited counsellor and I am able to work with all age groups. In my extensive experience, I have worked in the NHS and with a Grief Charity with children and young people. I have also had a number of years working with adults working in various other settings.
I can work in a solution focussed way or longer term depending on what you need. I can use different counselling modalities to help you achieve your goals. I work with a variety of mental health issues including - stress and anxiety, depression, Autism, sexuality and gender issues, self harm, anger management, trauma, loss and grief and relationship difficulties to name a few.
As your Counsellor, I believe that you are the expert and my job is to appreciate how you experience the world and the challenges that may bring. Listening to you and working together we can look at the difficulties you may be facing. Being non-judgemental and supportive I will create a safe space for you to explore thoughts and feelings.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I can offer a certain amount of flexibility to my working week. Please just ask.
I will endeavour to reply promptly to all enquiries, if you have not heard from me within 5 working days, please check your junk mail as my emails have ended up in there before!
Initially we will have a phone conversation which will help me understand what your needs are. During the second session we will complete a virtual assessment, which normally takes no more than 50 minutes. This gives me the chance to learn some more about you and ensure that I am best placed to support you. I appreciate there are lots of counsellors out there so finding one that you feel comfortable with is really important.
