About me

I specialise in helping young people and adults manage anxiety and stress, overcome low mood, and boost confidence and low self-esteem. I’m a therapist and coach working with evidence-based approaches – and I have personal experience that they work and can turn your life around! I know what it is like to struggle with anxiety and self-doubt while outwardly seeming successful and functioning. I believe that changing your relationship with yourself is the key to achieving peace of mind, and flourishing in all aspects of life, including relationships, career and physical health.

For Counselling
I’m here to support you in managing anxiety, regulating stress,  boosting your self-belief and self-confidence and help you find ways to raise your self esteem. You may have experienced trauma or loss and are struggling to move beyond what happened. Possibly you might have developed unhealthy patterns or an addiction that changes your behaviour and leaves you isolated.

I am here to listen!
I offer a free 20 minute telephone consultation for both coaching and counselling services to assess what you would like to work on and which service is most appropriate to your needs.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Rowan 21 year old
"Therapy with Amanda has helped me find the language to describe how I am feeling. This has brought me closer to my family and given me more confidence. I also have tools I can use to recognise my anxiety and calm myself down".

Steve  - 60 years of age
"I retired early following a fine career in IT. I found that whilst I had many plans to fill my time, nothing prepared me for losing a bit of my identity now that I had stopped working. To a large degree my work defined me as a person. With coaching, Amanda really helped me come to terms with my new life choices and find purpose".
