About me

Hello, thanks for looking at my profile. Are you wondering if counselling will help you? I am aware life can be difficult when you think it’s ok, suddenly the floor shakes and you are tipped upside down. Does your head feel like it's about to explode as it's clogged up with not knowing how to cope and what is best? Are all your friends and family giving you conflicting advice? I have been in exactly that situation, I know how you are feeling. Just talking to someone openly and honestly about how you are really feeling can feel such a relief. Counselling will help you understand what is best for you and help you accept the choices you make.

People seek counselling for a number of different reasons, such as relationship breakdown, job loss, bereavement or feelings of panic and anxiety. I have also worked and supported a lot of clients who have suffered abuse in many different forms. Counselling allows us to explore those aspects of our lives that we may find difficult. I will support you in a safe, relaxed and confidential setting. I will not judge you or be shocked by anything you tell me.

The problems will still be there next week, next month, next year. Ring me and have a chat about an appointment, let's see if we can work on this together. Don't let the past stop you enjoying your future.

Training, qualifications & experience

Due to the cronovirus lockdown, I am available to offer telephone counselling, or zoom or other on line contact.

I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, having qualified at Leeds Beckett University. I have worked in a University for many years and have a vast amount of experience of supporting young adults overcome problems. I have worked with students with disabilities and overcoming their health issues to succeed with their chosen career.

I have volunteered at a local College as well as undertaking additional training in helping survivors of abuse and working with both male and female clients, who have suffered from various forms of abuse.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
